Beauty Wednesday - OPI Fifty Shades Of Grey Collection.

OPI Nails Fifty Shades of Grey

Hey Hey!

Welcome back, and to Beauty Wednesday.
I recently visited the cinema to watch the highly anticipated Fifty Shades Of Grey, Mr Grey wasn't my cup of tea, but, the FSOG inspired set from the gods over at OPI definitely is!
I'm a huge fan of nail varnish, and have a reasonable collection, OPI has to be my current favourite, the polishes cover so well, have great pigmentation and the collection of colours is so immensely varied. You can appreciate my excitement when i found this little set of beauties!

The themed box contains 6, 3.75ml varnishes.

OPI Nail Varnish, Fifty Shades of Grey

As you can see, OPI have created 6 gorgeous colours, and they have 6 equally great names -

Embrace The Gray - 'Let this chic, moody gray crème become one with you,'
~
Dark Side Of The Mood - 'This brooding, stormy charcoal is dangerously gorgeous.'
~
Shine For Me - 'The shimmering silverwith subtle blue sparkle really turns me on!'
~
My Silk Tie - 'This silky, gleaming silver has got me all tied up.'
~
Romantically Involved - 'I'm in a deep relationship with this luscious crème red.'
~
Cement The Deal - 'I'd sign anything to get my hands on this stony, cool gray.'

OPI Nail Polish

As always with OPI products, in my opinion, they paint really well and give great coverage. They dry in a reasonable time and always last well on my nails, and I'm a busy mummy of two!
The only Issue I have with the set is that the two crème grey colours are sooooo close to being the same once dried, when I was taking the pictures I actually got myself confused......but to be honest, that really isn't that hard!
Overall I highly recommend the set, its a great way to experiment with different colours at a very reasonable price. The set retails at around £19.95, for 6 OPI products I think that's great.

I hope this peek will encourage you to delve into the 50 Shades collection. If you do let me know what you think!

Pop over to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and follow along.

Have a great week!

Much Love,
xoxo

Throwback Thursday - Glam Baby and Glam-ma!

Hey Hey!

Welcome back, and welcome to my first Throwback Thursday!

I've been feeling very nostalgic this week, so thought I would share a picture of the woman I have always idolised, my Nanny!

This isn't the greatest when it comes to picture quality, but I love it nonetheless. I think I was about 3 or 4 in this, so it was taken in around 87/88. I was rocking the ginger fro, and of course a bow which perfectly coordinated with my dress and no doubt patent shoes!

My Nanny unfortunately passed away 8 years ago, but she was totally glam until the day she died! Hair perfect, outfit on point, heals always, and I mean always......her slippers even had a heal! Face pristine and gorgeous nails, then there was the gold, she always wore loads of rings, bracelets and necklaces, I was mesmerised by them!

My favourite memory of her is when I was a little older, I wanted nails just like her, she had a huge stash of false nails, my mum was a total spoil sport though and wouldn't let me have nail glue on my fingers.....how unfair hey?!
Anyway, my Nan took me out into the hall, we hid under the stairs and she had me chewing gum (she didn't do gum), and she stuck each nail on with a tiny piece of the minty sticky stuff, I felt just like my glam nan!

It's so fun to sometimes sit and think of happy times and of loved ones, weather they are still with us or not, is it something you enjoy?

Share your thoughts and pictures with me, id love to see!

for now, have a great rest of the week.

See you soon!

Much Love,
xoxox

Mummy Monday! A Little Look At My Family!

Hey Hey!

Welcome back to my blog.
I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend and a great start to the new week.

It's half term here for us, so I thought i would do a little post about my boys! I thought it might be fun to share a little bit about my family with you lovely people.

Steve and I have been together for very nearly 13 years, and married for almost 10. By the time we celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary we were almost 6 months pregnant with our first little munchkin! Evan came into the world in 2006 and changed us forever!

My Eldest Son Evan

He's a handsome chap isn't he!
He is so incredibly kind and thoughtful, and totally laid back, just like his daddy! He's unbelievably intelligent too, the boy can do maths that baffles me! His love's in life are his scooter, video games, his best friends...AKA 'The Crazy Bulldog Gang' and anything non vegetable!
When Evan was one we got a little surprise, we discovered we were expecting again! Totally not planned so soon but we were in love instantly.
In 2008 our little firecracker came screaming into the world. Meet Harry!

As you can see from the little selection of pictures, Harry is completely individual! He has a fiery personality and keeps us on our toes, he also keeps us laughing too, he's a tiny little comic!

His loves in life are video games, dressing up and pizza......oh, and chocolate cake!

My boys, are quite frankly, my world, so will no doubt feature highly as this blog grows, I hope you'll enjoy the little snippets of them as they grow.
I've never really known what I wanted from life, but as soon as I became a mummy I knew, it's probably the most rewarding job in the world, although they drive me batcrap crazy at times I wouldn't be without them!

So that's it for today, I hope you enjoyed this little snippet!
I'll be back later in the week so watch out for more ramblings, don't forget you can also follow me on my other social network outlets!

Have a great evening!
Much Love,

Couples Cuteness! Valentines Day!

Hey Hey!

My husband and I have been together for well over a decade now, we aren't huge on Valentines Day, I like to think if you love someone, it should be demonstrated all year round, not just once a year......That said, Sainsburys had some super cute Valentines couple items that I couldn't resist, i'd probably have picked them up if it wasn't the season of LOVE to be honest!

First up, this gorgeous couples movie night set!
How cute is this?!
Steve and I have two sons, aged 6 and 8, so as you can imagine our 'Date Nights', often consist of a takeaway, a movie and some popcorn! This set in my opinion is perfect!
All items are really solid and well made, and will no doubt last for years, you can get a lot of popcorn in the box too, so its perfect for  sharing!

A few days later I grabbed these, I love them!
Steve and I have been a couple for 13 years and will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary this summer, yet we don't have, or have never had any 'his n hers' items. We love our coffee, its how we function, so we can be a sickeningly cute couple whilst getting our caffeine fix! Although Steve complains they aren't big enough, they are small mugs and he likes a bucket of the good stuff!

Lastly, if you thought the above was sickeningly sweet, look away now!
Our sons are still very young, but they do have their crushes!
And whilst we don't force it, I will support them and provide funds for them to buy little token gifts, and here they are! They gave them to their sweethearts yesterday on the last day school and were gifted sweet items back, so so sweet!

So that's it!
Just a little peek at the love shared in our home this Valentines!
Whatever your opinions, weather you embrace the day or not, have a wonderful weekend!

Ill be back on Monday with my first 'Mummy Monday' Post! I'm excited to share more of my little munchkins with you.

Don't forget to click on the links below and follow me on twitter/instagram etc, and drop me a comment if you liked this post!

Much love,

Glossybox UK - February 2015 - The Love Edition.

Hey Hey!

Guess who's back, back again.......
Today I will be sharing the gorgeousness that is the February 2015 Glossybox.

Glossybox Uk

Glossybox is a fantastic monthly subscription service, priced at £10 per month plus £3.25 p&p. Each month I am sent a selection of beauty products, some being full size and others sample. The boxes are often themed, depending on the time of year, eg: Christmas, Summer, Winter and so on.

This month, not surprisingly was Valentines themed, The Love Edition.

February 2015 Glossybox

I LOVE the themed boxes all of the time, but this one is just beautiful!
This month when I opened the scrummy packaging I was met with 5 products, all of which i'm sure I will get full use of, which is exciting and very rare for me with my monthly subscription boxes.

Glossybox Love edition

The first product that caught my eye, purely because of the mouth watering packaging the Royal Apothic 'Tinties'.

Royal Apothic 'Tinties'

A wonderful, moisturising lip butter. I was sent it in the shade 'Coral'. Each beautiful pot contains shea butter and three oils, argan, grape seed and almond making it super nourishing.
The brand originates in Los Angeles and  is said to be a favourite of Victoria Beckham.
The lip butter costs around $14 and can be purchased here .

The next item I noticed purely because of the size!
Wilkinson Sword - Hydro Silk.

Wilkinson Sword - Hydro Silk

Who doesn't want silky smooth legs in time for Valentines day!?
This razor is priced at £9.99 and claims to keep your skin hydrated for up to 2 hours after use, it has a water activated bar of moisturising serum containing shea butter and five, yes five blades.....smoothness here I come!
I'm sure these can be picked up in most drugstores, but if not you can click here and grab yourself one.

Up next is a product from a range I have tried and tested before, and actually like quite a lot.
So Susan - Rose Quartlet Lip & Cheek Palette.

So Susan - Rose Quartlet Lip & Cheek Palette

How cute is this?!
This contains a mix and match combination of lip and cheek products in a handy sized product, along with a tiny, tiny brush!
So Susan definitely have a fan in me.
This can be picked up for £8 by clicking here .

Now i'll move onto mascara! I have 'just a few' in my collection already, but in my opinion you can never have too many, so I was pleased to see the B. Cosmetics mascara colour 100 Black.

The packaging is very subtle, just a clean charcoal/black casing. This full sized item is priced at £9.99 and claims to lengthen, volumise and condition using Lush Active. I do have my favourites when it comes to mascara but i'll definitely give this a good try!
You can buy yours here .

Finally an item inspired by the movie topped to be the film of the year, 'Fifty Shades of Grey', I have been sent the MARSK - Mineral Eyeshadow in the shade Fifty Shades.

MARSK - Mineral Eyeshadow (Fifty Shades)

This picture really doesn't do this product any justice, I love the deep grey, it has a shimmer too which is a winner in my book, I can't wait to try it out this weekend when I go to see the film!
Even better the mineral-based shadow is 100% natural and highly pigmented so will either create a really dramatic look or go a long way. This little beauty can be picked up here and is £14.49.

So that's it, except wait......The gorgeous folks over at Glossybox included a super cute and tasty treat!

Love Hearts

Who doesn't like Love Hearts, especially when it Valentines Day!

So that's it folks! All in all I loved this months box, admittedly a few of the recent Glossybox's have been a bit hit and miss for me, but this month they hit the spot on every level, I love every product and will make good use of them all. I definitely this this monthly subscription box is worth the cost. As a busy mumma and wife, I sometimes forget to think of me, so having the lovely chaps at Royal Mail drop this at my door once a month gives me a little treat, in all honesty I forget about each box until it arrives so it's a lovely surprise too!

Don't forget if you would like to become a subscriber you can do so really easily over at glossybox.co.uk .

I do hope you have enjoyed this post, pop a comment below if you would like this to become a monthly post on the blog!

For now i'll say goodbye, but I will be back later this week with a look at a few of the Valentines treat my gorgeous husband and I have picked up this year! In the meantime, pop over to Facebook, Instagram and twitter etc and follow along with me!

Much Love,

Beautiful Bath Bombs and Scrumptious Bubble Bars! Lush Haul

Hey Hey!

Welcome lovelies.

I'm back with a gorgeous Lush Haul. I placed this order last week, i'm a huge Lush fan, with my nearest store being 30 miles away I love that I can have my scrumptious smelling treats delivered!

First up, 'Floating Flower', Petals of Love and Colour.

This is a really big product, and it smells divine, I've never been very good and differentiating between smells, but I can really smell the Jasmine in this bath bomb. They are £3.50 each and worth every penny!

Up next, 'Love Locket', Open your heart.

This is HUGE! And really heavy, it isn't my favourite of the Lush scents but I love the look of it and i'm really excited to try it out, because it's so big and I just have a standard size bath I will probably cut this bath bomb in half and use it for two separate baths. This one is now unfortunately out of stock online.

Now onto, 'Twilight', Let The Sun Set On Worries.

This one is still available and priced at £3.35.
I love the colour and the moon and stars design.
It smells absolutely wonderful, lavender...ahhh, I can't wait to have a bath time bubble with this little number!

Now, here we have, 'Heart Throb', Oh, Mi Amore....

Another gorgeous Valentines themed item from those clever folks at Lush. It is effectively a glitter/bubble bar sandwich! Perfectly sized for two! This is fragranced with  Frangipani Absolute and smells perfect, it also contains Shea Butter so will no doubt leave the skin beautiful and soft, and it's a bargain at just £3.65.

Next it's another glittery number!
'Sunnyside', Bright and Sparkling.

The picture doesn't do the shimmer on this any justice! It is, well, just wow! I love anything shiny, so a shiny bubble bar for just £3.75?!? Yes please!!
This has fresh citrus scents, just perfect.

Finally, onto my final item of my haul, the item I bought because of the tones of other bloggers and Instagramers posting on it, the gorgeous, crazy, beautifully wonderful.....
'Unicorn Horn!!'
Dreams Can Come True.

Another shimmery number. My boys love the look of this one so something tells me I wont be getting much, if any use from it, but it's ok, I got to see and hold it so i'll live!
Again this bubble bar is one of my fave scents, Lavender....beautiful! And just £3.25.

All in all a really fantastic range of products, i'm super excited to try them all out, and promise to report back with reviews from not just me, but my sprogs and hubby too!!

All products, except from the Love Locket are in stock at the time of this blog being published, and can be purchased HERE as well as in store.

Once again thanks for reading along lovelies!
I'll be back tomorrow with a look at some Valentines items we have picked up this week.
But for daily posts and pictures please follow me on my other outlets, and don't forget to share this blog if you like that you read!

Until next time,
Much Love,

Sweet Sunday : Red Velvet Cupcakes.

Hey Hey!

I'm back as promised with my first 'Sweet Sunday' post!

As you will see from the pictures below i am very much a novice baker, I very rarely do it to be honest! But it's my mum's birthday on Monday and t'is the season of love so thought i would give these a go!

They actually turned out ok! Quite moist and yummy!
My youngest son Harry certainly enjoyed them, and he considers himself a bit of a cake connoisseur!

If you'd like to give making these a go I found the recipe at
The only thing I changed was swirling a little red food colouring through to cream cheese frosting to make it pretty and pink!

The stand I picked up from my local Sainsburys.

I really hope you have enjoyed this post and if you make the cupcakes please let me know, i'd love to see your pictures over on my other social network outlets!

Have a great Sunday!

Much love,
xoxox
