I'm Back, And Better Than Ever!

Hey!

Oh how I have missed this!

It's been around a year since I last wrote here, a year where I have battled with so many demons in my head, I would repeatedly think I'm going to give blogging a go again, and would quick as a flash convince myself I was not good enough, utter pants and give it up again.

But not this time! for YEARS I have loved reading other blogs, watching women and families vlog and create content on YouTube, once the children were in bed it is how I chose to spend my time, I lost count of how many times id say to Steve, 'I'll do that one day', then let my lack of confidence, and the fact that I'm not a size 8 nor do I look like a airbrushed supermodel stop me. But now, I have decided that none of that really matters, I have a passion, and sure I might end up being no good at this, but I will never know if I don't try, and I don't want to get to 50 and regret not giving it a go.

So this is the first post of many, and along side some of these posts you'll find a link to my shiny new YouTube channel!

I'm still working on a schedule, but I am so frigging excited to do this! I hope you'll come along for the ride x

I'm Pregnant!!!

Hey Hey!

I know I know, I have been seriously slacking, but I have a very good reason!

After losing our baby back in April, we decided to take full advantage of the Drs advice, that we would be much more fertile during the 3-6 months following our loss, and I am now 19 weeks and 2 days pregnant!!!

I have been incredibly anxious, and still am if i'm honest. Two lots of early bleeding didn't help, but each time my local Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic scanned me, and each time our little bean had a strong heart beat.

At 13 weeks we had our official dating scan, which is when I began to let myself believe I may actually have a baby in my arms at the end of this journey. The scan was amazing, our little munchkin was kicking and squirming all over the place, and so earned themselves the name 'Wiggle Bum'.

Along with our boys we were incredibly excited, we couldn't wait to share the news. Obviously with our history we had kept our little one a secret, except from immediate family, and I shared with my closest friends. When we were given the all clear at our scan we decided to let Evan and Harry share with everyone! 

So, now you know, how has my pregnancy been so far? In one word, sick!
With my boys I had a little nausea in the afternoons and evenings, other than that, I sailed through early pregnancy. This time round, it has been ohh soo different!
Until 16 weeks, everything made me sick, I was able to eat very little and most of what I did made a reappearance. I have been exhausted despite doing very little with my time, and hyper emotional, all very new things for me, as my husband says I have a heart of stone! The only plus is that I have gained very little weight, something that is important to me considering I am already a plus size mum to be. I plan on swimming to keep myself active during the second half of my pregnancy and hopefully keep my weight gain at a reasonable level.

I plan on doing weekly pregnancy updates, these will begin with a gender announcement! 

I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with you!

Spring Style Saturday!

Hey Hey!

 

Welcome back, and apologies for the delay in getting this post up!

My mum has been poorly this week so I have been on diligent daughter duty, along with being a mummy time has just run away from me I'm afraid.

 

Today I'm sharing another of my recent spring purchases.

I have always worn a lot of black, black everything! I believed I looked better in it, and because of my size, that it was best to stick to. My confidence has grown over the past few months and I have started adding colour to my wardrobe......this is no exception!

 

I am in love with this gorgeous maxi dress!

It is by Alice & You, I purchased it via ASOS Curve.

The dress is a light, beautiful chiffon and has a fitted cotton slip dress underneath which is black. It has elasticated sleeves and I adore the two knee high splits at the front.

 

Spring hasn't quite arrived but I know once it has this will be a dress I wear time and time again!

Fashion Friday - ASOS Curve, New Look and Michael Kors. OOTD

Hey Hey!

 

Welcome back, and to Fashion Friday.

 

My entire outfit today, except my accessories is from the amazing Curve range at ASOS.

 

I pretty much buy all of my clothes from these guys, I'm a premier member also!

 

The clothes are great, I'm a BIG girl, and I find the clothes are designed with true plus size women in mind. Length to width ratio's are always on point, they don't simply take something made for an average sized person and stretch it several inches, they take into consideration the extra length etc needed to make something wearable for someone of my size.

The dress can be found here , it's comfy and fits well. I love the neckline and the bell sleeve detail.

You could wear heals and tights, but I decided to make it more of a daytime dress and wore leggings and my lovely new boots!

These are by New Look, but purchased via ASOS. New Look have a great selection of wide fit shoes and boots. I love the buckle detail on these ones.

Accessories were all really simple, and not from ASOS or New Look I'm afraid. My Michael Kors Rose Gold watch and bracelet, I got both late last year for my 30th birthday, I really love them worn together. You can still buy the bracelet here and my watch, I can't seem to find a direct link to it, so wonder if it's maybe not available any more.....you can but watches like it by clicking here.

 

So that's my OOTD for today!

This post has taken a lot of courage on my part, I don't like full length pictures being taken of me at all let alone posted on the ol' internet!
